Stopanska banka celebrates the grand opening of its new headquarters
Stopanska banka marked the official opening of its new headquarters with a gala event attended by 300 guests, celebrating the beginning of a new chapter in the Bank's more than eight-decade-long history.
Conceived under the theme "Landmark for the Future. The Art of Shaping Tomorrow," the evening brought together music, drama, dance, gastronomy and visual art, reflecting the Bank's longstanding connection with the arts and also celebrating the clients, partners and communities that have been part of its journey.
Founded in 1944 as the country's first bank, Stopanska banka has grown alongside generations of citizens and businesses, contributing to the development of the economy and the communities it serves. Today, that legacy takes on a new physical expression through a €50 million investment in a headquarters designed to support the Bank's transformation, sustainable growth and future development.
Chrysoula Koutoudi, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Stopanska banka, welcomed the guests and reflected on the significance of the investment:
“The resources, dedication, and passion invested in this Leed Gold Certified, 50 million еuros project are visible all around us. Our new headquarters stand as a testament to the values that our brand represents. I strongly believe that it will inspire generations of employees to move forward, to strive for excellence, and deliver the best outcomes.
This new building is much more than steel, glass and modern offices. It represents a bold new chapter for our vision, a home designed to foster creativity and collaboration, sustainability and innovation. It stands as a physical promise of our commitment to our clients, to our employees, to the communities we serve and the future we are shaping together.”.
The celebration was attended by the senior leadership of National Bank of Greece, reflecting the strategic importance of Stopanska banka within NBG Group and the Group's continued commitment to its development and transformation.
Gikas Hardouvelis, Chairman of NBG Group, emphasized:
“Stopanska banka's new headquarters are a landmark for Skopje and a symbol of the values it shares with the NBG Group: trust built over more than 80 years, a human-centric approach to banking, responsiveness to the rapid technological shifts that are reshaping our industry, and an unwavering commitment to enabling sustainable growth in North Macedonia”.

The ceremony was attended by Ms. Gordana Dimitrioska – Kochoska, Minister of Finance who welcomed the new headquarters:
“As the Ministry of Finance, it is our responsibility to create a stable and predictable regulatory framework for the financial sector, including the banking system. Our goal is to contribute to a system that provides stability, builds confidence and creates the conditions for the continued development of financial institutions.
As a Government, we are committed to developing regulations and policies that create opportunities, ensure predictability and enable the banking system to evolve in step with modern trends and the changing needs of citizens and businesses. This is precisely why a strong and modern banking sector plays an important role in creating the conditions for economic growth and development.”
A landmark designed for the future:
The new headquarters encompasses 17,893 m² and includes 11 floors of modern office space providing a new workplace for more than 500 employees, as well as a new state of the art data centre, full-service branch and ATM zone, brokerage services, modern vault facilities, and contemporary conference and training spaces.
The new headquarters also reflects the scale and strength of the institution it represents.
