Stopanska Banka reports pre-tax profit of MKD 1.4 billion in the first half of 2026 and increased lending support for the economy
In the first six months of 2026, Stopanska Banka AD – Skopje recorded a pre-tax profit of MKD 1.4bn, continuing to operate in a stable and profitable manner despite a volatile and uncertain global economic environment. At the same time, the Bank's total assets reached MKD 159bn. The Bank further increased its lending support to both households and businesses, with its loan portfolio exceeding MKD 114bn, representing 5% growth compared to the end of 2025. Meanwhile, deposits increased by 3% compared to the end of 2025.
“Even during a period of heightened economic uncertainty, the growth in loans and deposits is the clearest indicator of the trust that clients place in Stopanska Banka. The Bank remains a strong and reliable partner to the Macedonian economy, supported by stable financial results, strong capitalization, and continuous commitment to serving and supporting its customers.
Our strong capital position and prudent risk management are not merely regulatory requirements, they are the strongest guarantee of security for our clients, the sustainability of our business, and the Bank’s stable growth,” said Mirjana Trajanovska, Chief Financial Officer of Stopanska Banka.
A notable milestone during the period was the successful completion of the Bank’s relocation to its new headquarters — the first building in the country to receive a LEED Gold certification, a recognition of the highest standards in sustainability and energy efficiency.
The new headquarters symbolizes the Bank’s long-term vision — to be a modern, responsible, and innovative institution that invests in the future.
Stopanska Banka also announced its commitment to continued investment in digital services to further improve the customer experience and support economic development, while preserving strong liquidity, solid capital adequacy, and a prudent approach to risk management.
